Romaine lettuce reached Europe, of course, through Rome - hence its characteristic name. The delicious Caesar salad, of which it is the main ingredient, certainly contributed to its popularity. The Roman variety belongs to the species that tolerate heat well.

Romaine lettuce not only gives a unique taste but also enriches the visual layer of dishes. In addition, we will find in it many valuable macro and microelements. It is rich in beta-carotene, vitamin K, and vitamin C. It also contains calcium, iron, potassium, and copper. Additionally, it is lightweight. Due to the content of vitamins A and C, it is a natural antioxidant, which reduces the risk of many chronic diseases. In addition, vitamin C strengthens immunity and prevents skin aging - as a result of its high intake, its elasticity increases, discoloration is reduced, and wrinkles are shallower. We can easily enrich any dish with Romaine lettuce.

Significant cultivation of romaine lettuce is found in Spain.
