Iceberg lettuce owes its name to its characteristics, a slightly frosty appearance of the leaves, as well as to the method of cultivation. Iceberg lettuce likes coolness, which is why coastal and mountain regions are popular places for its cultivation. Properly stored, it retains its taste, firmness, and nutritional values ​​for a long time. This lettuce is also known as "fragile" due to the hardness, stiffness, and fragility of the leaves, which are green, and sometimes white.
